Have you looked at the map and thought – which way is up? It took us a few turns of the map too! Fortunately, the experts are on to the building.

Architectural Plan

Carabiner have developed the Forrestdale South East Primary School (planning name) masterplan. This shows the outline and architectural designation of the buildings. As this is a 2D plan, the second storey of Teaching Block 3 is not overlaid, but trust us, it will be there! The masterplan is available to download as a PDF for your reference.

Culture, Connecting and Caring – our playful art installations

Introducing Yaakin the Turtle Likes to Play, one of our iconic, interactive and playable art structures. Yaakin the Turtle is part of a concept developed, designed and produced by Jahne Rees and Sharyn Egan, as a celebration of local plants and animals that have been traditionally important for Noongar culture, medicine and food.

Taking inspiration from the natural environment, and local wetlands, particularly Forrestdale Lake, the artists have focused on two of the primary food sources, Yaakin, the Long-necked Turtle and Typhus Bulrushes.

These colourful art structures connect us to the local wetlands environment, and significant elements of Noongar culture.

Joining Yaakin, and continuing the wetlands theme are three other playable art works including Yandjet Bulrushes Snake Swing, A Bulrushes Stilts Walker and Log Balance.
